How To Get Rid Of Dandruff The Easy Way

Dandruff is one of the common scalp conditions that affect both men and women. It consists of white loose flakes that often fall on the shoulders and at the back. These white flakes can be both embarrassing and annoying and most of time show themselves at the most inappropriate times! But contrary to what any people believe, dandruff is completely manageable. Here are simple tips on how to put these white annoying flakes at bay.

Use olive oil.
It has been proven that consistent use of olive oil constantly reduces the appearance of dandruff. Scrub your scalp with olive oil on a regular basis and observe if there are any visible changes. For desired results, ensure that you oil your hair one night before applying olive oil. However, it is important that the difference in time between the time of application and time of washing does not exceed ten hours. If well followed, you may just wake up to a dandruff-free hair.

Lemon juice and coconut oil.
This is by far one of the best concoctions when it comes to dandruff treatment. It is as simple as warming coconut oil then squeezing it in a lemon juice. Mix well the concoction before applying on your scalp. Before using this mixture, it is important that you wash your hair but without using any conditioners. Dry your hair then ensure that it is not silky but dry.

Vinegar.
Vinegar is another readily-available product that cures dandruff. All it takes is adding a few drops of vinegar on a mug of water then using it as a final rinse with a special focus on the scalp. However, this should be done only after washing and conditioning your hair. Leave it on for approximately 10-15 minutes before rinsing.

Baking soda.
This is another product that is used in a number of ways, including natural removal of dandruff. Instead of using your regular shampoo, use baking soda by rubbing a heap of tablespoon on your wet hair for one minute before washing thoroughly with water. After two weeks of consistent use, your hair will be able to produce natural oils, leaving your skin dandruff-free.

Tulsi and amla.
Using water, make a paste of tulsi and amla then apply on your scalp after which you wash after it has dried. You can add yoghurt on the mixture to enhance the results.

Apple juice.
This is another excellent cure for dandruff that has been tried and tested by many. Simply massage your scalp and hair sing apple juice then rinse clean. If possible, you can use apple juice before rinsing your hair with a final rinse.

Steroid creams.
If you have itchy dandruff, then using anti-inflammatory products can help keep dandruff in check. However, you should consult your doctor before using any because there are different concentrations and potencies available in the market. Again, steroid creams need to be used on a daily basis, and then gradually decreased over time. However, long term use of steroid creams is not encouraged because such a practice may lead to the thinning of the skin as one of the side effects.
